Study “AI Adoption and Entrepreneurial Innovation in Romanian Agri-Food SMEs”. Version 1.0.
1. Controller and purpose
The data controller is Dr. ing. Panait Mihai Vlad, in joint research with Dr. ing. Ștefan Petrică (USAMV Bucharest). Contact: contact@panaitmihaivlad.ro. Data are collected exclusively for scientific research on AI adoption and innovation in Romanian agri-food SMEs, for a paper presented at the “Agriculture for Life, Life for Agriculture” conference.
2. What data we collect
- Questionnaire answers (about the firm, AI use, decision factors, innovation). We do not ask for the company name, tax ID, name or address.
- Minimal technical data: completion time, language, duration. The IP address and browser details are not stored in clear text: only a cryptographic fingerprint (HMAC) is stored to detect duplicate submissions.
- Optionally, an e-mail address if you want the results summary or an interview. It is stored encrypted, separately from the answers, and is not used in the analysis.
- One strictly necessary session cookie (encrypted, HttpOnly, no tracking) that keeps your progress. We use no marketing or analytics cookies.
3. Legal basis
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — GDPR), given at the start of the questionnaire. You may withdraw it at any time and your answers can be deleted.
4. Retention and security
- Data are held on a dedicated server in the European Union (Finland) with HTTPS, authenticated-only administrative access and encrypted backups.
- Unfinished questionnaires are deleted automatically after 30 days. Completed data are kept for the duration of the research and publication (maximum 5 years), then permanently deleted or anonymised.
- Results are published only in aggregate; data are not passed to third parties or sold.
5. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. At the end of the questionnaire you can delete your own answers with one click. For any other request write to contact@panaitmihaivlad.ro. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP).
